Cypress Christian School in Houston, Texas had some specific objectives in mind when they sought a provider for the school's new web site. Competitive advantage and accessibility for all users were foremost among the goals for the growing faith-based school in suburban Houston. The latest in a string of educational clients embracing friendlier-than-ever Web 2.0-savvy content management tools, Cypress is accomplishing what it set out to do when it selected Innersync and Campusuite® content management system for schools.

"We wanted it to stand out among the competition, make the school families confident in our school, and make it enjoyable for our staff to add and update content," said communications coordinator Lynnette Anderson, who led the Cypress team in searching for a new web provider. She went on to say how important it is in today's competitive Houston educational market for the school's web site to capture the brand, the mission, the goals and the accomplishments of the school. "We want everyone involved to be able to either find or load the information they want easily and at any time, added Anderson."

After interviewing several CMS alternatives, the Cypress School selection team chose Campusuite for its track record in education and its ease of use for non-technical users. Campusuite, which equips users to easily manage news, events, blogs, photos, videos, calendars, FAQs and more, eliminates the need for costly IT support, providing a new, cost-effective way for schools to not only manage their web sites, but improve communications in the process. Staff, faculty, students, parents and the entire school community can fully utilize a web site that connects all its audiences to the school.

In addition to marketing to prospective students and making it easier to manage content, Anderson said that additional goals of the site are to utilize blogs to increase dialogue with the entire Cypress community and to recruit qualified instructors.

"A web site is only as powerful as the content and accessibility to creating and obtaining that content," said Steve Williams, co-founder and president of Innersync/Campusuite. "Progressive schools such as Cypress Christian are perfect fits for Campusuite, because of its ease of use, 'approachability' for content authors and content seekers, and affordability."
